Onboarding Guide
How to Start Working With the Lab
A clear, practical sequence for dental offices establishing their laboratory workflow.
Whether your office submits cases digitally or by physical impression, aligning contact channels, standing preferences, and required clinical records upfront helps prevent avoidable delays.
General 9-Step Onboarding Sequence
- 1
Confirm Account & Contact Setup
Confirm your practice profile, primary point of contact for case questions, preferred communication channel, and delivery arrangements.
- 2
Confirm Product & Workflow Scope
Confirm the restoration or appliance being requested and whether any special components, shade guides, or multi-stage steps apply.
- 3
Establish Standing Office Preferences
Share your office's standing preferences for communication, shade system, design approval, contacts, occlusion, and unclear-record handling.
- 4
Prepare Complete Rx & Clinical Records
Prepare the prescription (Rx) along with the required scan or impression, opposing arch, bite record, shade, and any applicable implant or photo records.
- 5
Submit Digital Scans or Physical Records
Transmit intraoral scans through your connected scanner workflow or package physical impressions and models for pickup/shipping.
- 6
Intake Review & Clarification
The laboratory reviews submitted records for completeness. If critical information is missing or unclear, the lab contacts your office rather than guessing.
- 7
Design, Production & Quality Control
Restorations and appliances are designed and fabricated according to your Rx and office preferences, then inspected by bench quality control.
- 8
Delivery & Post-Delivery Feedback
Completed work is returned to your office, and any feedback regarding seating, contacts, shade, or design helps refine future cases.
