First Submission Guide

Your First Case Guide

An operational checklist for dental offices preparing and submitting their first case.

A smooth first case comes from clear operational setup before submission and transparent communication during fabrication. The steps below focus on practical office preparation and laboratory coordination.

Phase 1 · Pre-Submission

Before Your First Case

Complete these operational checks with your team before sending your first prescription:

  1. 1

    Confirm Account & Contact Setup

Ensure your practice profile and primary point of contact for case questions are established.

    • Practice name, delivery address, and primary office contact confirmed
    • Preferred communication channel (phone, email, or text) noted for case questions
  2. 2

Confirm the Requested Product & Workflow

Verify the exact restoration or appliance type being requested on the prescription.

    • Requested restoration or appliance and material clearly identified
    • For multi-stage or full-arch cases, confirm the current workflow stage with the lab
  3. 3

    Confirm Your Submission Method

Verify whether the case will be sent via intraoral scanner or physical pickup/shipping.

    • Digital: confirm scanner connection details with your lab representative
    • Physical: confirm packaging and pickup or shipping arrangements
  4. 4

Prepare the Prescription (Rx) & Required Clinical Records

Gather all records needed for the specific case type before sending.

    • Completed Rx with tooth number/arch, material, shade, and special instructions
    • Preparation scan or impression, opposing arch, and bite record
    • Implant system/platform/scan-body details or reference photos where applicable
  5. 5

Provide Office Preferences & Confirm Technical Questions

Share your standing preferences and clarify any technical questions before scheduling.

    • Standing preferences provided for contacts, occlusion, shade guide, and design approval
    • Technical or component compatibility questions confirmed with the technical team before submission
    • Expected timing confirmed with your lab contact before scheduling the patient

Phase 2 · In-Lab Journey

After Submission

Once your case is submitted, it follows a structured six-stage laboratory workflow:

  1. 1

    Intake Review

The lab checks that the Rx, scan/impression, opposing arch, bite, shade, and any required component details are present.

    • Verification that core clinical records are complete and legible
  2. 2

    Clarification if Needed

If any record is missing or unclear, the lab contacts your office rather than guessing.

    • Prompt communication via your preferred office contact channel
    • Doctor/office confirmation before any clinically significant change
  3. 3

    Design & Production

The restoration or appliance is designed and fabricated according to your Rx and standing preferences.

    • Digital design approval sent when requested on the Rx or standing preferences
    • Fabrication aligned with the prescribed material and workflow stage
  4. 4

    Quality Control & Delivery

Bench QC inspects fit, contacts, occlusion, shade, finish, and components before delivery to your office.

    • Multi-point bench quality control against the original Rx
    • Careful packaging and return delivery to your practice
  5. 5

    Post-Delivery Feedback

Share feedback after seating to fine-tune standing preferences for future cases.

    • Feedback on seating, contacts, occlusion, shade, or design recorded for future consistency
